About Dog'sTime: Kathy Fardy, Dog Trainer

Dog'sTime is owned by Kathy Fardy MA, CAP1, an experienced, certified dog trainer specializing in behavior problems. She commits to dogs and owners in an effort to give support for a safe and healthy environment in which dog and owner can be happy. In her spare time, Kathy competes in dog agility at the Masters/Excellent levels with her 2 Labrador Retrievers and 2 Belgian Malinois. Kathy also visits nursing homes, assisted living centers and pre-school to high school age students with her therapy dogs.

We continually update our education through programs such as those offered by The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and by attending other educational conferences and seminars. We also keep up with the latest published information, subscribing to most of the leading dog training and dog handler periodicals. CAP, offered by world renown clicker trainer Kay Laurence of Learning about Dogs, concentrates on a progression through the different levels of competency for clicker trainers.

Although 14 years old Riley is now retired from agility, her job as the mother of our pack continues. She still enjoys training for agility and running after the tennis ball thrown for a job well done.

	Professional trainer at a well known training facility. Major duties included: 1. Running the day school program 2. Teaching clicker techniques 3. Teaching basic pet obedience 4. Solving behavioral issues. 5. Assisting in the administration of the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program. 6. Assisting in the administration of a yearly Vet Clinic

Agility instructor at 3 area dog training facilities.

Agility competitor, actively competing in the sport for more than 14 years with 6 dogs, earning numerous titles and competing at the Excellent (AKC) and Master (USDAA) levels.

Specialist with behaviorally challenged dogs, including one of my own rescues.

Enthusiastic beginner working with my vet’s dog and one of my own dogs in sheep herding.

	Frequent visitor to nursing homes, Council on Aging, Assisted Living and an Alzheimer Secure Facilities with my client’s dogs and my own dogs, some of which are in training for therapy work and some of which are certified therapy dogs.
	Volunteer of time working with children in preschools to high school ages helping them understand dogs.
	Competitor in agility throughout the Northeast an average of 26 weekends a year, where Dog'sTime is around hundreds of different dogs. We are constantly learning, training and observing dogs and their behaviors.

USDAA ADCH-Bronze LAA-Bronze Jigsaw is the 1st Dog'sTime team member to earn a USDAA Platinum award for an individual class: Snooker-Platinum (50 Master's Snooker Qs)	In the spring of 2009, Jigsaw earned her ADCH-Bronze (triple ADCH) an LAA-Bronze award (150 Master's Qs). At 8 years old, Jigsaw is still competing in agility
