| We continually update our education through
programs such as those offered by The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT),
and attending educational conferences and seminars. We also keep up with the latest published
information, subscribing to most of the leading dog training and dog handler
periodicals.
CPDT (certified
pet dog trainer) is a continuing education certification requiring
up-to-date knowledge and techniques in order to maintain certification.
We participate in many programs sponsored by APDT, the administrators of this
certification. Recently, a new clicker training program,
CAP,
was launched (offered by world renown clicker trainer Kay
Laurence, of Learning
about Dogs ) concentrating on a progression through the different
levels of competency for clicker trainers. We've joined this program
and are excited about what it has to offer. |
